Mobile advertising is basically running ads on apps, I think it may help if you have a bricks and mortar store

For this kind of advertising you should make an application for one kind of mobiles and insert ads on them. Also you should be able to make your application popular.

I'd prefer Admob, but then there are others like it MobGold, Mojiva, etc.

You can put PPC type ads on the apps you make for like androids and iphones. Also you cam make your website have a better mobile view and add them to that as well.

iAd specialize their service to apple products, so if you want to reach a more general audiences you might want to use networks like mojiva, or mobgold where they provide options for you to choose which platform you want to advertise your ads on...

and, yes mobile will be the next big thing since everyone seems to be on the move all the time nowadays, so going mobile maybe the best thing to do...

I'd reckon AdMob, mobile ad network like Admob, MobGold, Buzzcity, etc provides greater flexibility compared to iAds, although Apple fans/enthusiast is quite huge market at the moment, but I still have some doubt Apple enthusiasm in Asia/ Africa, It seems to those two continent being left out by Apple.

true that apple products users is a rather large market... but you can also advertise to apple products (e.g. ipod, iphone) using the ad networks you mention... so why use many ad networks when one is enough to cater your needs to reach various type of audiences.... IMO :p
