Greeting everyone, FYI, i never have any experience in setup adwords campaign But understand that using relevant and critical keywords can impact my PPC cost greatly. i have my product (a puzzle game) http://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/stack-on-me-expert/id417621861?mt=8 But i wonder what are the keywords i should use? if i chose "puzzle game" to be my keyword, isn't that too expensive for the bid since every advertiser is using it? Also, i only want my ads to show during iphone user is playing iphone game >> this is also something wondering me, how can google spot any keyword while we play iphone game?? Appreciate adwords gurus can enlighten me Thanks!
> Stack On Me (my game product name??how can i use this when nobody know my brand) You don't use that as a keyword for the reason you mention. You could however use it to gauge rising popularity. Players, if they like it, could tell their friends "this stack on me game is cool. try it" and they would search for it. > Game? Too general. > Puzzle Game? I'm not exactly sure what is meant by puzzle game, I don't play games much and don't have an iphone or anything like that. But if that's the closest description of what it is, use it. You don't have any description on itunes. That doesn't help me decide to put down even 99 cents. I'd get more specific though such as "iphone puzzle game" since it seems it will work only on that platform. If there's some other description of what your game is, use those as keywords too. The cost is partly dependent on what other advertisers for the keyword bid as well as your ad quality and your own bid. If the highest bid is 25 cents, then you won't pay more than that. Less with high quality. But that's not normally the case as there is usually a wide range of bids. At a selling price of just 99 cents, your conversion better be very high. I assume you want to make money. I normally would not use Adwords for something so cheap. But if there's a bunch of such apps selling under a dollar, everybody may be bidding just nickel or two in order to turn a profit. So it might be worth a shot. And if there's word of mouth and SEO the page to rank on the game's name, that investment could go a long way. If the game is good and becomes popular.
