My personal feeling at least is that .mobi could take of in the future, but that future i see a couple of years in time. I have so far not invested in a single .mobi domain.
i don't think .mobi would be interesting ever. maybe if you want to create a website especially for a mobile phone or for something like that. else it's completely worthless for me.
More and more people are starting to use their mobile phone for surfing the internet. If you look at what the prognoses say on internet usage around 2010 more people will use the phone to access the internet than the computer. With the .mobi domains you can have websites (and advertising) that is aiming directly to those people who use their phone to surf.
.mobi would be the next com of mobile but as .com took some time to evolve you gottta wait for sometime to see .mobi really catch up but it has progressed alot in less time
I have my own .mobi - 5starastrology.mobi - and selling through Paypal. So many .mobi are registered through us and renewed also. Paypal already has added .mobi payment system, so good future Regards, Toniya
I just registered one domain blingyour.mobi thinking about building the ringtone, wallpaper etc site. just putting cj link to the site right now though. I think this will work good in future I think also.
Yes, I believe .mobi will be a hit. With the way mobile phones are being upgraded and used, it is only a matter of time before they will overshadow the laptop. Especially with the iGeneration and their endless texting etc... As soon as I get enought $$ together, I will start investing in .mobi names.
i do not think it will be a hit... dot com will still be the hit mobile phone browsing. It will take thousands of years before people get accustomed to .mobi .. well maybe yyou could pass it down to your generations to come
