.mobi worth it?

Their are a ton of 3 letter .mobi domains left to register... Anybody think its worth the 40$?

 

Any idea where the best place to register is? I think it's worth it

 

IMHO, such extension sounds to me like the right one for moby dick, not for mobile devices.

domain.mobile or domain.cell, or domain.pda would be best.

I haver (pre)registered a few, I thought I would take a chance . I use moniker for my domain needs, I am surprised you do not here too much about moniker here , a lot of domain pros ( I am not a pro ) use moniker for their portfolios .
I heard that a lof of big companies are jumping on the .mobi domain if you google it you will find some good info .

Since you can already hear a lot of the big companies going into this whole thing I am assuming they will be promoting their .mobi ( mobile web ) sites therefore people will hear a lot about .mobi > led me to believe it might be a good investment .

I've made a couple of pre-registrations. I made a prereg a long time ago for a three letter, but it got reserved and is not available for registration
Hopefully I'll catch at least one of the domains I've preordered.
