Hello Everyone, I have been developing a text based mmorpg for around a year now, and as we come to the end of the development (we are just redesigning and adding a few more features), we are looking at advertising. Our testers have got together and have spent the past year testing, finding bugs, exploits and imbalances in the game. Since they like it they have donated $510 in 2 months knowing that their money will be going to advertising our game!... For a text based game built from scratch, with unique content and design, I do believe $500 is a little something which can get us off the ground so to speak, well 500 is our current amount hopefully that will rise. Here are the stats for this month: Users: 210 Unique Visitors: 454 Number of visits: 1,977 Pages: 145,581 (73.63 per visit) Hits: 454,845 (230.06 hits/visit) We have gained the traffic by users referring to friends and so forth as this is a test version we do not want to spend money on advertising yet, which we will do upon launch. Currently I am registered on Game Advertising Online and have looked into ad4game, however ad4game’s minimum requirement is $1,000 and since we only have 500 we cant proceed with them. I am looking to pay up to $0.30 per visit but they must be game related visits which is why I think our best bet is GAO. What are the other and best campaigns to look at / go to? If its not game related its not any good for us. Also if any of you have any experience with GAO’s click through rate that would be beneficial for our research.
