Mixing Unique and Not-Unique Content

How will Google react to pages with mixed unique and non-unique content on one page?

I suspect it will be fine as there are many sites that do this - e.g. product pages that include reviews from other websites such as amazon.

    Please post your thoughts.

It is more or less like re-writing a post, and is allowed by Google.

It depends on what % of unique and non-unique content.

definitely ok. However, the more unique content the better.

Is it a case of google will just ignore the duplicate content and judge the rest of the page as normal?

if you have duplicate content, you can change it a bit. If you change some words, replace with synonyms, it will be OK.

It's not a problem if you mix it up right. Just like with PLR articles you should change the title and use synonyms. Especially in the first and last paragraph.

it will not affect if you are using 20% or 30% duplicate content, but if the % of duplicate content is very high, then i will affect your ranking.

Basically I have product pages with my own unique content. I want to include the standard manufacturer text that is on many pages throughout the internet.

It seems opinions are mixed - I guess I will just try it out and see!

I don't think that would be a big problem. Just make sure you don't actually copy the content. Make use of synonyms for certain words. Rephrase the sentences with a much attractive content that would make it more unique.
