Hi Guys I have a SEO type question.

I have a site which up to now has ONLY original articles, ie writter ny or for me and not seen elsewhere.

I would however like to get more pages indexed so I'm thinking of buying a bundle of about 500 articles or so .. ALL on topic.

Will this duplicate content hurt my quality article weight with the search engines and will those articles hurt as a wholw or will the added content help with my SE rankings ?

Don't know. It's an interesting question, actually. Obviously you're going for quantity > quality to a point.

I encourage you to try the method, carefully track results, and let us know how it turns out.

Add the dup content slowly rather than all at once. Edit the header and footer of the dup content (if you have the time) by adding something like "editors notes". The SE's will like updated content and a larger site but don't count on them liking the dup content pages. Also, carefully consider your linking structure for the new content.

Well i was considering to intertwine them amongst the original articles

I'm now hoever thinking of making an 'article archive' section just for those.

I't just getting too expensive paying U$5-U$15 per article.

Interesting idea to modify the articles with "edited by". I am concerned about taking a hit on some of the content on our site. Quite of bit of the articles are from article submission sites.
