Mixing Google ads with third party ads

"You're welcome to display Google ads on the same site or page as other third-party advertisements, provided that the formatting or colours of the third-party ads is different enough from that of the Google ads. In other words, if you choose to place non-Google ads on the same site or page as Google ads, it should always be clear to the user that the ads are served by different advertising networks and that the non-Google ads have no association with Google. If the formats are naturally similar, we ask that you choose different colour schemes for the competing ads."

I have a website with 3 ad slots which currently show Google text and image ads. To improve revenues, I want to rotate these ad slots with other ad networks. My concern at doing this is some sort of violation of Googles TOS. Let me explain.

Imagine that for one visitor in ad slot position #1 I have an Adsense image ad. But for the next visitor (or if you refresh the page) it shows an image ad for a third-party advertiser...is this a violation of TOS? Google states above that it should be clear that the ads are served from different ad networks. But if they appear in the same ad slot but on different page views (e.g. its a discussion forum and they go to another page) then could Google view that as potentially confusing the visitor since it is in the same ad slot position? Consequently, its a violation?

Also, what about an image ad from Google and one from a third-party network? You have no control over the color differences and you could potentially even have the same image ad from the same advertiser, one from Google and one from the third-party network. Are these violations?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    no to all.

that quote is for having another ad show the same time as adsense on the same page.
has no bearing if it is from a cpm network.
you can not make a image not look like a image. ;)

you are allowed to use an ad rotater or ad server.

I have about 7 ad slots on my site. Are you saying that I cannot have an adsense image ad and another networks image ads showing at the same time on the same page?

He also said, "that quote is for having another ad show the same time as adsense on the same page."

That condition will occur so therefore he is implying that Google's TOS will be violated.
