mixing billing items time credits

    Hello,

We normally bill monthly for service. However we have an item that is only $1/mth (spam/virus filtering) and we have had several customers wish to pay for this yearly.

We had given them 12 months of time credit for the spam/virus item and that has caused issues with the other billing item not being billed monthly.

How can we bill a customer for one item on a month to month basis and another item yearly and have it automatically done. Right now I've removed the yearly item from their billing cycle but there is no way that in 12 months I'm going to remember to bill this customer another $12 for the next year.

Any ideas? I read the manual and it says we can have any mixture but it doesn't explain how one might create this mixture of billing items.

You would create a sub-account (which you can do from the Scripts menu).

Ok that works. However this takes up a whole user license. So this one customer is taking up 2 license spots for two billable items. :(
