If you search these forums for reviews of certain PPC suppliers, you will find a mixed response saying some are good, some are bad. The Bad ones will have a large majority of posters saying bad and a minority saying good. It seems that no one supplies any more information on why the PPC is good or bad, so I have decided to take some time to investigate some of my personal list of BAD PPC suppliers out there so here are my (un-audited) findings: Miva: 1 - 114 clicks PR = 0 (Main page) hxxp://top-20.info/casino/search.php Domain created Apr, 2006) E-pilot: 1 - 69 clicks PR = 0 (Main page) hxxp://wxx.rankaround.com/search.php Domain created 24-Oct-2006 - This must be a mistake? 2 - 374 clicks PR = 0 (Main page) hxxp://wxx.validppc.com/cgi-bin/search/smartsearch.cgi Domain created 11-Jun-2006 3 - clicks from below spam sites cost me $57, I got a refund for these. Take the time to study the data from the 7 sites below, notice anything "EXACTLY" the same? If you have the time, check a few of the sites (If you don’t have the time, its "EXACTLY" the same. hxxp://2005-casino.com/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casino-corp.com/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casino-org.com/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casino-super.com/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casinotech.info/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casino-time.net/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 hxxp://casino-trix.com/ PR = 0 Referral URL:wxx.estdomains.com Creation Date: 29-May-2005 BTW, what’s the point of a refund if the next bit of traffic I get will be worthless? Searchfeed 1 - 60 clicks pr = 0 (Main Page) hxxp://wxx.lookuplive.com/search.php (30-Nov-2006) - This must be a mistake? EXTRA I also performed spot checks on the behavior of the traffic (Just to much to provide detailed investigation), 99% are in and out, no exploration. I also found that some of the suppliers of the clicks where quite sneaky, they clicked what they would perceive as a conversion click. I know these are not valid clicks as: 1. I made no sales from the clicks. 2. 99% of the clicks where from the very top of my page. 3. A lot of clicks where made even before 30% of my page graphics had loaded. I have not checked all the traffic details I just took the sites that sent me the most traffic. I hope some of you find this useful as it took me a lot of time to investigate, if one person here saves themselves a few dollars, all will be worthwhile. Regards, John.
Interesting info. Although as you say, results vary from person to person. One campaign I am running with Searchfeed is providing excellent conversions for me, at a rate that puts it right between Google and Yahoo in my stats. Far from junk traffic. I guess that's why testing is so crucial in the PPC game.
