Misspelled domain names

    Hello,

I read an interesting article the other day about a guy who makes a killing off his domain inventory by just parking them. He also owned a number of common misspelled domains.

I was curious if anyone here had/has any success with parking misspelled domains? Or is it better to develop something for them and try to take advantage of search misspellings instead of direct type-in misspellings?

I recently invested in a few for the heck of it and can't decide what direction to take.

    Thanks for any input.

This is way off topic but I gotta say it, I love your name "Sockmoney" hahaha, like shoemoney without the shoe ;) Nice man.

As for misspelled domains, if you had something like www.myspave.com it might work because the v is right beside the c and people can misspell it, but it's not a thing I would invest it.

parking is better . . . typo domains are usually hard to brand (cause they are hard to say thus remember) . . .

with misspelled domains the best thing to do is park them.
if you try to develop them the original company might just take the domain name away if they have a trade mark

    imagine your site being MySpaceKayouts.com

oh well there's nothing wrong with typos until they catch you :D if you really want to go into this market, be sure to use a proxy for whois info , and do not go for typos of big corporations or banks. The thumb rule is not to bug those people that don't think twice to sue someone to obtain what they want :)
