I have gathered so far, from this forum, that to be successful, you need; niche original content SEO advertising Many of you, I guess, are very good at creating a site that generates $. I'm talking about putting in minimal effort, and having a little bit of cashflow. Since I am a total noob, I would have to put maximal effort to achieve the same. Why? b/c I am in experienced. Analogy; I know you have to shoot the ball into the basket, however I'm new, therefore I am not good at the sport. So, what are some tips to get me rolling. I'm working on a few blogs (just for experimental purposes), and would like to achieve a goal of making $30 a month. Imagine you are trying to reach this goal in a niche that you have no interest or experience in. What would your first steps be? Reason I ask is; if I apply these tips to a niche that I do enjoy/ know, the results may be more effective. My time frame is 1 year. 1 year from now, If I can be making 1$ a day from a site, I will be happy.
I would probaly start by advertising on directories and buying some links on the niche you are in. Also do some link exchange.
Well, $1 a day is a possibly. That's not being too ambitious or anything. I would think one main thing to do is to have more than one web site, the more the merrier and each running different theme, this would allow you to target more audiences of different interests. At the same time, have websites which are viral, ie make them want to come back over and over again. The other thing is do not piss your surfers off. Personally, I never like any ads which are so blended that it looks like contents because I feel cheated when I click on them thinking I will content but get to some other sites. That is an immediate black mark for me.
In a niche where you aren't experienced or interested gder, even $ 1 can be difficult to make, especially if you are on an shoe string budget. Given that you are a newbie, I'd advise you to first focus on the niches you like working with and are comfortable with. Even if it is one subject, put in all your effort in it. Your effort won't go unrewarded, I assure you if it is put in well. Later, when you are an established person, go into the other niches. You won't get your hands burnt then
If I already decided about the topic my first step will be content research. I would go to http://goarticles.com , http://www.ezinearticles.com/ http://www.articlecity.com and read articles about your topic. Take notes (not copy) of intresting articles. Do some searches in G and Yahoo groups and find faq about the topic and so build knowledge about the topic. Then I would write the content. Trying to make about 10-20 articles about the topic. (article does not have to be 1000 words)
its easy to make $1/day.. but making over $10/day is what im having probelms with I can make $10/day constant.. yet making like $15-$30 can only be achieved with advertising boosts
You could repeat what you have done to make $10 with an other site. Building fresh content (and content can be build by your visitors) is what over time will make your site grow
My record earning is $37 per day for the month of Aug. The site need traffic to hit your mission. Traffic is the key.
Just keep working on unique content, seo and the money will come. Find a niche you can talk about, then write write write. If you keep adding fresh content its only a matter of time.
Putting your goal in monetary terms scews the issue I think. A site with 100 visitors/day can easily make that. Make that your goal and then go from there.
Personally, I believe web sites should be created because you are passionate about the contents that you are promoting and not to just set up websites to make Adsense or Click income because after a while it would just get stale. I do get between $1 to $2 a day in Adsense income but I am not going to make a living from it, it is just there as a little reward for me to get that little something special for that someone special in my life.
awwwwwww Edit: was gonna leave it at that, but thought maybe I should mention that I make about $1.50 a day (wow). That took me ages, so I'm hoping I can start to earn more slightly quicker!
As I remember, the first my dollar, which was made in WEB was very tasty It was like a little miracle.
It is very easy to make $1 within 1 year. Create a unique design. Content - Create unique content, and add new content at least weekly. SEO - do all the basics right and you will be fine. Promote, promote and promote. Get 1 way links, post about it in forums, do link exchange, do directory submissions. Build traffic! Experiment with Ad placement. I have a site that is a little over a year old and since the first month, I have spent less than 10 hours adding content and promoting it. Currently it is averaging over $10/day. Your goal is very easy to acheive, and if you are serious, you will easily exceed the $365 after a full year.
