Some TV pundits have noticed, and commented, 'Dr. Ron Paul raises the level of political debate, because he is candid and honest' (or similar quotes) IMO, the level of debate (in general) has improved here at DP the last three months. Why? * The pending primaries and elections bring in more people to check out P&R. * The 'Ron Paul effect' (mentioned above) has raised the level of political debate 'just about everywhere'. * IMO, Neo-con propaganda no longer dominates this fine forum. Thanks Ron ~~~ Dr. Ron Paul Wins An Important Victory In The Battle For Decent Press Coverage. All are related to Monday Nov 5th, 2007 ~~~~~~ What next?? Optimists will tend to get excited about "real-world activities", and be the true leaders of the Ron Paul Revolution. [Sarcasm] If you actually consider me an 'optimist', perhaps you are (or must be) depressed. Are you OK? Someone here might be able to help you. [/Sarcasm] ~~~ Pessimists Pessimists have enough knowledge of history to know... ~~~ Political Hobbyists come in many types. Easy (EZ) Mucho-Grande (Mucho-Grande means 'very big' in Spanish) Much-Loco (Mucho-Loco means 'very crazy' in Spanish) ~~ Easy (EZ) Political Hobbyists will (in general) endlessly replay similar debates with the Neo-bots, Neo-Cons, and Neo-Fascists. ~~ Mucho-Grande Political Hobbyists will (very often) join 5, 10 ,15 web communities and invest many hours debating with a passion. For most people, this is either a 'fun hobby' or they actually think Internet debate is really important. ~~ Mucho-Loco Political Hobbyists will (almost never) actually effect "the real world" very much. * The first post I made in P&R (this year) asked the question, "Does your opinion even matter?" * I asked the same question in 1 or 2 other posts. * Every other question I asked repeatedly got answered, except for, "Does your opinion even matter?" Perhaps this subject is tough for some people to face??? "Does your opinion even matter?" For ~30 years Dr. Ron Paul took a 'lonely' path. His 'enemies' respected his honesty, but most of the world ignored him. * Now large crowds of college students, and all other ages, roar with approval when he mentions following the Constitution. * Is this brave leader too late to restore freedom to our once great country? "Does your opinion even matter?" Mucho-Loco Political Hobbyists will (almost never) actually effect "the real world" very much. * Will America become the first Major Global Empire in world history to pull back the troops before it's too late? * Every other Major Global Empire in world history has either been defeated militarily, or faced economic collapse. "Does your opinion even matter?" * Many people are pleased to see Dr. Ron Paul doing so well, and... * Any time you can spare for politics, is probably better spent "in the real world" rather than here at DP's P&R. ~~~ "Dr. Paul cured my apathy", but I wasn't looking to be cured. For me, politics is a hopeless sh^thole of despair, and the only reason I try is because I actually care about people. Thanks, for the Once In A Lifetime memories, and don't let the Neo-cons (and Hillary) mass-murder too many people.
