What is the deal with CJ? I build sites and when customers need hosting I send them an affiliate link in an email so they can sign up and I can make the commission. I have done this 2 times so far and did not get paid for either of them. They were $100 each so I'm kinda mad about it. What I have done is allowed right? Isn't that why there is an option for the link code to be for an email? Anyway, I don't think they are going to pay me so I need a new company to use for this. Any suggestions? Better affiliate sites? Thanks in advance.
Don't do it that way. Too many chances the cookie won't be set. If you want to refer them set up a simple page on any website you own. Then direct your clients to that page. Then the cookie should track. If you have the customer/clients names you should write directly to the Affiliate Program and tell them they are your referrals and ask them to pay you.
Gonecrazy, The same thing happened to me. The $100 stayed up as my earnings and a day or two before I was suppose to get my payment it disappeared. I thought they paid me early, but instead they didn't pay me at all. I promoted other offers besides hosting an always got paid. I also used email as my form of marketing. internetmarketingiq: If the cookie is not set how is it that the commission shows up? Do they recheck the cookie before payment?
They always pay me what they say I earned. I have more of an issue with the idea that I may be making sales that they aren't counting.
