Hi. I don't use Googele Adsense or Adwords and was wondering if someone could answer a question for me.

Are sponsored ads allowed to use verbage such as "the leader" in their description.

A competitor is using it in their Sponsored Ad description. They are not the leader in the industry.

Are they allowed by TOS to claim this "leader" status?

    Thank you.

I have ads with "The World Leader in..." in the headlines and descriptions.

This is all Google says about superlatives:

AdWords do not allow "Best", "lowest" or "#1"

but there is no reference for "leader"

Here follows The Superlative TOS from Editorial GuideLines:

Sounds legitimate to me... thought goes against the "spirit" of the rule.
