I have google adsense on a few sites and recently I was notified through my forum that one of my members clicked on one of the ads and was taken to a spam site When you are a adwords user you can tailor the ads to meet your needs and alter text etc. You can also type in the name of the the domain name (in the display url field) and this site had typed in www.diy.com, which is owned by B&Q. The guy was horribly suprised when he clicked on the ad and was taken to a page that was nothing to do with diy.com! He sent me the url of the page and it was toponline*********.com ( I have edited out most of the site url ) This page had nothing at all to do with DIY, had three sets of google adverts on the page and an article that they had borrowed from another site on the net I put the site in my competitive ad filter as soon as possible, But I am still mad that they or any advertiser can use any domain name they like. This is very wrong in my opinion
Something similar to me also happened, However I didn't clicked on the ad but I tried opening the domain that was mentioned with .ca which do not exist and the same name with .com was the right one.
