Go to Google, Enter "failure" as a search term and then click "I'm feeling lucky" instead of search. [edit] I'm always the last to find out. . . Just did a forum search and I see. . . Sorry for wasting the forum space. .
you can do the same with "ignorant bigots", "unelectable" or "miserable failure" but one of my personal favorites is "french military victories". on "french military victories", take a real close look at it - it won't be immediately obvious what's funny about it. VG
Did you know that French tanks have five reverse gears and just one forward gear? What is the forward gear for? It's incase the enemy attacks from behind .
One of the interesting things is the appearance of a Newsday article posted at google - watch dot org, home of Mr. Conspiracy Theory himself, Daniel Brandt (aka Everyman). I guess Daniel thinks this is more evidence of "Google evil". For the background on his vendetta against Google. see http://www.google-watch-watch.org/.
Hi, I get a lot fo friends sending me emails and this one is to funny to pass up and not tell you about. Seems GOOGLE messed up. I am sure this will not last long so check it out quick. What person would sit there typing in words just to see what comes up. To funny... Thx Jen 1- Go to Google http://www.google.com 2- Type in the word "Failure" 3- Instead of clicking "Google Search," click "I'm >>Feeling Lucky." 4- Giggle 5- Spread the word before the people at Google "fix"
YAWNNNN! Try this instead. It's much more fun. Type in constipated leprechauns...go to the third page, 4th or 5th placement down. Pick out the THIRD and SEVENTH word from the THIRD paragraph. Type that into Google and you won't believe what you get.
this is a very famlous bug in google i have ssen it reported in many magazines ,newspapers and other sites i have also seen it been discussed at many forums i know of it
I'm not sure it's fair to call it a bug exactly. It's Google doing what it tries to do - ranking a page for a low competiton search term based on anchor text in links pointing to that page.
Not to mention if they wanted to interfere with the few terms that get the spotlight, they could do so in a second. The truth is it isn't a bug, but more of a marketing ploy. The press they have gotten from this one group of phrases is worth its weight in gold.
