Your 'global search volume' is based on a broad match. Looking at the phrase match, there's only 1,000 searches globally (According to the same Adwords tool), and 'not enough data' to determine the US popularity. Plus, these metrics include the whole of Google's reach (Based on Adwords data), not just through their search engine main pages. That's a terrible phrase for many reasons. The biggest being it just doesn't make any sense as a phrase.

 

its hardly a miracle the term "work little" my have alot of results back but its hardly a profitable keyword and 200,000 searches a month isnt that much really

 

What are you using to get your search stats?
In google adwords tool "work little" as a phrase match gets 1000 searches monthly globally, and as a exact match 22.
Why bother to make any effort to target 22 searches a month globally?
It's not competitive - as a 2 word keyphrase it doesn't mean anything - none of the results below you have targeted it, it's coming up as an accidental long-tail.

 

I don't think that everybody always search like "keyword" or [keyword].
They Simply enter the keyword and search, isn't it?

 

It's an ADWORDS tool - it matches by broad, phrase or exact the same way that adwords works - if people are seaching for
work little at the garage - that's a phrase match
searching for
work little
is an exact match

 

But at the same time the profile is working for the keyword in reverse too..

 

A broad match for 'work little' may be anything like this:

too little too late
working on the railroad
where is my little friend
little spaghetti noodles
work a little bit, then go home

A phrase match is where the phrase is in place within the search string:

Actually, I can't think of a string where 'work little' makes sense right now. I don't think that 'work a little' bit qualifies as a phrase match, but I'm not totally sure.

People don't have to use quotes or brackets for it to be a phrase or exact match, though.

 

I doubt whether the discussions are going in the right sense? D) I just started telling that with in 20 Minutes we could attain this even if this is only having less search volume. Just wanted to share this because people are working for weeks to get placed at #1 even for long tail keywords..LOl

 

Take it easy guys, let's not burst @MervikHaums's bubble...it may seem trivial, but to see your site rank for any particular keyword can be inspiring. However, I would suggest they focus on more competitive keywords that would bring in the real traffic and PR.

May you please share some of your insights into this technique of the seo bounce back as you call it, or is this just to inflate your ego? Either way congratz.

 

I don't think anybody is intending to 'have a go' at mervikhaums - but it's not hard to rank at no.1 for a keyword that has no search volume and no competition, so if he has a technique to test, he needs to try it out on a more viable keyword.

 

Sure, we're straying from the original point. My only point (originally) was that your phrase, 'work little', isn't as in-demand as you claim it to be and that the Adwords tool search volume is not an accurate gauge of keyword search volume through Google's main search interface.

Also, hhunt -- MervikHaums is apparently offering SEO services, at least is advertising them in their sig (and mentioned it in the original thread). This isn't something that a SEO provider should brag about or be inspired by... a usable / semi-valuable phrase, yes, but not 'work little'.

looks interesting. but nowadays, pole rankings are changed very frequently.. unless you are continuously updating and adding some contents..
