Minor but good update to link directories

Hi everyone, just wanted to inform the people here in DP land that I have allowed more links to be displayed in the following link directories to increase the PR passed to your websites:

Actually, doesn't that decrease the value of your featured links? The more links are on the page, the less they are worth...

 

Hm, I thought the same at one point, but I read in a resource where having more links (not too many) is better for passing PR to other sites that were listed on page 2 and up. I only increased it by 5 listings anyway so I do not think that would be considered bad. I do know that those link farm type sites with a ton of links are bad, but only 15 links displayed is not. Would you agree? If not I can change it back, I am only trying to improve the directories to help out everyone who has submitted. Thanks again and hope that you are enjoying your weekend Mystik!

 

It's certainly better for the listings that would otherwise be pushed to the next page. I was just mentioning that it's not as good for featured links...

 

I understand, but actually there are so many featured links that even they are being pushed to the next page as well Example:

http://www.addyoursitefreesubmit.com/business/advertising_and_marketing/

I only increased it by 5 links, even sites like dmoz and sitesift display more links per page, so I am not sure that it would necessarily hurt PR, hopefully just the opposite. What do you think? I would gladly change it back if someone thinks this would do worse then good, but I think it would actually help everyone.

 

I think it is okay. Not quite as good before in most cases, but not a major problem.

 

Thanks a lot for taking the time to let me know. Tell you what I will reduce it to only 2 extra links so that it will display 12 links per page instead of 15
