If I'm going to build content minisites, what's best to use for the best possible SERPS - The Wordpress blogging CMS or a static HTML/CSS website?

I'm pretty sure Wordpress is best and easiest to update, but just want some confirmation of this

I think wordpress is the best one, but if you don't want to update your content many times and you wanna make your own designs it is maybe better to use static HTML because make an wordpress template is more difficult than just base a website.

If you are quite okay with SEO of wordpress then it is great, as the wordpress templates are an SEO nightmare sometimes, else nothing like static html websites, they are great for onpage optimisation

Okay - I'm thinking maybe static HTML
However, if I can find a very SEO optimized WP theme I might use blogs - does anyone know of any well optimized themes?

For highly optimize theme,i suggest you hire a coder to code the template at your specification to you.
Now,its really cheap to code a theme such as $50

i have been always a fan of plain and simple html. Its not only fast loading and better in SEO. It doesnt matter which way you go, but the most important thing is content!

oh! if you want some good wordpress themes (free ones with SEO), have a look at: http://top-best-themes.com/category/wordpress

    Good luck!

I'm a massive fan of wordpress because its simple to setup and it can look really good. Depending on the level of knowledge of HTML if you almost never need to change the site I would go for that

If you decide to go with static HTML, you may want to do some PHP so you can use includes, this way it will be easier to update parts of your sites without having to edit every page, e.g. if you want to edit the footer or menu, or have an ad block, etc. It will be easier to use php includes than to edit every page.
