NameSqueezeâ„¢ pages that are designed solely for collecting email addresses to build up a mailing list. Ideal for follow-up email campaigns to sell / promote a product.
Landing Pages usually used with Google Adwordsâ„¢ campaigns to help the visitor make a decision. Again, this could be an email capture page, or it could be a pre-selling page.
Single page sales site with the aim of getting direct sales.
Small article sites with sales page to help keep the visitor interested and purchase the product.

How many visitors come through the search engines and not from the Adwords campaign per day, do you have those stats?

Where did the PR come from, because it surely does not have enough links to be a PR5. Was there purchased links in the past or what?

There are a lot of questions that come into my head when I look at this deal but the two big ones are:

    - How do you get a PR5 with only about 5 links (from Yahoo! search)
    - Google shows 30+ pages indexed that are NOT accessable by browser... cloaking?

Aside from that I'd say that stats are not even needed since the domain itself is worth bidding on... but not if a google ban is waiting to happen from the current owners activities.

Please address these questions and a few bids might come in. :)

    Hi

I am the owner of minisites.net, that is currently for sale on eBay.

Let me address some of these issues...

To give you an idea of the stats, the Adwords generated 169 clicks last month, and 250 during February 2006.

I can only put this down to this one fact. I originally bought this domain to promote ebooks. I created a site that could be duplicated and uploaded to the buyers sites, so that they could resell the ebooks. To make it easy for those who bought, I put up the sales pages for all the ebooks to www.minisites.net/ebookname. Each person who bought and uploaded the main ebook package web site, automatically had links to minisites.net with all the subfolders.

The site was successful and so built up links from all over the internet. Most of these went to the subfolders. I realised in the last 6 months that I was missing an opportunity and added a link to the bottom of ALL the subfolder sales pages to the main index page. Then I added the ebook sales page that is currently there now.

Hopefully, I've answered the first bit above.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the second part of your question. I searched for site:www.minisites.net on Google and got most of the subfolders showing up. Each page seems to load just fine for me. Let me give you some examples...

    http://www.minisites.net/killerminisites/ (PR4)
    http://www.minisites.net/instantinternetempires/ (PR4)
    http://www.minisites.net/freetosell/ (PR4)
    http://www.minisites.net/profitpullingreports1/index.htm (PR5)
    http://www.minisites.net/profitpullingreports2/index.htm (PR4)

Some pages have been removed from the main site, and it may be those that you are referring to as not being seen. I can confirm that I have NOT indulged in any cloaking on the site. The only script running is a 404 error page script, that redirects visitors to the home page, but I have made that standard practice on all my sites now.

I, too, think the domain is worth the money. It's a hot topic right now, and I believe the market will improve. Especially with everyone jumping onto the Adsense bandwagon. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's a real bargain!! :)

I can't see any reason why there would be a pending Google ban, as I have not keyword spammed any pages, no cloaking has been done, and no black hat activities have taken place on the domain.

All I've done is created a viral effect by having other sites link back to various pages within the domain. By linking them all together, it has compounded the effect and resulted in PR5 for the domain.

I've owned the domain since September 2002, and, if my memory serves me well, it went live within that week. The pages that are there have been there ever since.

I hope that answers everyone's questions and fears. Please let me know if any other issues need addressing.

    That answers my questions, thanks.

I guess I was looking at a couple of pages that were removed but I CAN access many others... here is the one that wasn't found:

    minisites.net/article-writing.html

some others also won't load (redirect to the homepage) but many others do load normally.

    Hi

Yes, that was one of the pages that were removed. The site was originally a "mini site" in itself, but I changed it to be the current one-page sales site afterwards. I think there were about 4 or 5 that were removed. Something like that.

Just so you can be 100% happy that there is nothing black hat about this domain, here is an archived copy of the old site, with the aforementioned missing pages.

Just thought I would mention that there are 12 people watching this auction now, so there may be a flurry of activity near the end. If you're at all interested in bidding on this domain, make sure you get in early enough.
