I agree. I feel that 700 words is the balance point for me. After that I begin to struggle lol. But I also read somewhere that people often prefer longer, informative blogs (1200-1500 words). Meh
Long or short, quantity doesn't matter it is the quality that counts. And how will search engine knows if a content is quality? Through user engagement.
I don't know how better a post could be if the words count is high or less unless it is worth to read. Well, in EzineArticles (an article submitting website) they recommend a minimum 400 words of count.
You can write 5000 words and say nothing or you can write 200 words and produce outstanding content, so it has nothing to do with the word count. The quality, the originality of your content, your grammar and the way you approach a subject is far more important.
