Does anyone have any exp or info as to what the minimum req's are for a proxy site? I have been sitting on a domain for a while and I think I might want to start it up to see what I can do with it

    thanks for the info

Any server would work, but when you start getting lots of traffic, that's the problem. I sent you a PM.

The best thing I've read regarding proxies and resource usage is to calculate it yourself. What kind of resource usage do you use as a single person just surfing the internet (cpu, bandwidth, etc.)? Now multiply that by however many visitors you expect to have, and you should have a rough estimate.

Most proxy sites eventually have to move to dedicated or semi-dedicated from what I've seen, or the owner needs to be good at setting up system resources. If you do plan on starting a proxy, I would read up on managing server resources before you launch it.
