Hi guys. I started working with AdWords last weeks and I have some questions.

How much should I pay for a campaign to be sure that a website is promoted ? What's the minimum $ that I have to invest to be sure that I will get my site populated/product sold ?

I need some advices from those who know. Thanks !:)

If you're asking these sort of questions, you still have a lot more to learn. Read up a bit more and don't waste your money until you know what you're doing.

It depends on the niche, the amount of competition, the amount of traffic you need, etc. Obviously, if the CPC for your keywords is high, you would need to start with a higher budget. But to really answer your question, we would need to know what niche you are targeting.

It depends on the price of your keywords.

some companies spend $100 a day, many spend $1000 a day and big businesses spend $100,000 a day. It really depends on your niche and products your promoting.

The great thing about google adwords is that you can spend $5 a day if that's all you have. Spend what you are comfortable loosing at first, then as time goes on you will understand how much you can spend and need to spend

Do not try Adwords unless you understand how this work, Better you try Yahoo and MSN get some knowedge first. It's too easy to loose money If you don't know how to do this. I would advice work with somene (hiring expert) and get confidence.

    Good Luck

I know how it works, I used it 2 times until now for promoting affiliate. I'm asking for your opinions (if you used it too) because I don't want to spend $$$$ per day if it's not required.

Now I see keywords and niche are important, thanks.

I have spent £200 on adwords and got nothing that I can measure. I am going to try again though. The way I see it is that, if I lose £200 this week, its painful but if I make £100 then I can make that week in week out.

I am basing on my figure on on my CPA. I get about £35 CPA, so after £200 I know its a non-starter.

There is no definite budget about promoting a particular site. You will come to know about it once it starts showing impressions, clicks and sales. Its trial and error. But as you go on using it, you will learn how to minimise spending on trial and error.

I know a lot about adwords. I am in a expensive niche and paying £2 a click or so. As I am an affiliate, I don't get the full insight in to which words are converting. All I know is that I spent £200 with 3 sign ups but non qualified for payout.

As I said before, I am going to have another pop at it. With my SEO I know that I can get several sign ups in a day but sometime none. I should have maybe stopped at £100 but I needed to be sure it wasn't working before I quit the campaign.

I also promote other affiliates on the navigation of my landing page. Someone could have signed up to one of these which I cannot track so it could have been profitable.

As your CTR goes on increasing, you won't have to pay 2pounds per click. With increasing CTR the click cost will reduce.
