I have ran many logo/design contests in the past and have paid all of the winners - you can check my post history here if you'd like. This is a chance to win some money for a pretty simple logo. No overly complex logos here, please. Keep the logo minimalistic with not too much complexity. Background: A subscription box review website. It will be about subscription boxes, their contents, and how the reviewer likes the items inside their box. Logo Concept: Open box, or stack of boxes with "Subscription Box Girl" next to it. Of course you can bring your own spin on it and make it something of your own. Client did not provide me with much detail. Logos Client Liked: Fonts Client Liked: Colors: Jewel Tones (colors similar to the picture below). There is no site design at the moment, so colors can be anything you think will be good. Prize will only be rewarded if client likes the design, so please bring your best to the table. Upon payment, I will need ai and pdf files. Good luck!
As long as I can get a smartobject PDF where the logo is scalable up and down without quality loss, it shouldn't be a problem
Let me present you my concept, simple and clean as requested. Any shape/color or text font will be modified as requested. Works great in blue and gray theme!
@Playaone A bit too colorful and not simplistic enough. The colors are a bit too contrasting (and not in a good way - they don't compliment on the color wheel). @logoesdesign Text is quite nice, but the logo is a bit tacky. The box looks very similar to dropbox and just added an "S" inside. @andreimuresan2013 Definitely the best of the bunch. Client said "It looks very similar to dropbox" so can I see any other concept you have? Client and I definitely prefer this one the most so far. After I advised client that it isn't that similar to dropbox, she said "I like how it looks like a heart" so maybe play off of this. If anything, I'd advise playing with the text a bit to try to get a more cursive style font in there. The client seemed pretty adamant about this and said "I like the logo part". @Viktor Mojr I'm not sure if you submitted this as a joke, but this isn't an MSPaint contest. I don't want to sound offensive, but it's horrible.
@eqzombie : Thank you for critics. Actually that font is exactly what you want and the work with vectors on the sign font is the best in this thread (Playaone used the same font, but didn't play with that as much as me). That "Box Girl" is not as bad idea and MSPaint even cannot run natively in linux which runs on my laptop. Oh, look at her, you made her cry!
@Viktor Mojr The font was not the problem, the logo itself was. It feels tacky and at conceptual basis did not come close to what the client wanted. It looked like an MSPaint design (like I said, I didn't want to be offensive, but those were the client's words). It does actually look better now, but it is still far from the concept the client has in mind.
@SGDESIGNS Client thought it was an interesting idea, but the 3D part of the box is not correct - the perspective is wrong (it looks misshapen) @nelutu Not really anything to do with what the client wanted, so it was an immediate no. @andiholist Client really liked this. She said that she loved the "Subscription" font, but she doesn't care as much for the sub heading font (The "box girl" part). She also asked if she could see a few more colors. @getdomain4u Client said it looked "cheap" and didn't really like the overall feel of it.
