I ordered two V-Max remote controlled mini helicopters that are designed to fly indoors-man are these fun! Sturdy and very easy to fly around the house. They'd make great cat toys/teasers!
Yeah, I've got a few indoor RC helis. They're good fun. But I prefer to fly outside where there's no walls to crash into I've just bought a Funjet.. the next step for me is FPV/video piloting ... Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iI_UKiFqRsA
I wanted to by one such Heli for my nephew on his birthday but the price was around 20 to 30 USD. I didn't want to spend that much so I bought a remote control car instead. I am my self very found of these. I saw once few people were flying small aeroplans on a empty road. Those were huge but remotely controlled. I have no idea what there price is. They worked on petrol engine and there reach was atleast 2 to three kilometers.
If anyone's genuinely interested in getting a GOOD micro heli (not an eBay throwaway), have a look at the E-flite Blade mCX. It's about the best starting point for a hobby grade indoor heli. They're not cheap, but they actually work, and pretty much anyone can fly them. My younger brother, on return from Australia, bought a remote controlled mini-helicopter and it was amazing to see it soaring till it dashed against one of the walls and broke down
