Here's my advice: Simply reformat your HDD. Make at least two partitions. One for the system only, and the programs (such as Photoshop, Office, whatever). Use the second volume to store your data. Keep EVERY .exe and .com files in a ZIP archive. Most of the viruses can't infect them. Keep your whole data organized. Pictures, Videos, Documents, you know that. Make sure, to install NOD32 (it's just works for me). I don't use firewall software, just my router do it's best. Oh, and the MOST important; NEVER use internet explorer again. Never. PS.: nothing protect against stupidity.
