I own this site - www.millionlinkwall.com, I made it last November but got bored of it after a few days and just left it, now I am just wondering whether to restart and promote it again? I have someone who is going to do all the updating for a percentage of the profits.

I was thinking of changing the format slightly, instead of a brick linking to the persons homepage it could go to a profile type page on the site where they get to post a description and people get to post comments etc. a bit like social networking for websites, now I would have no idea how to programme all of this so would have to outsource, does anyone know how much it would cost and whether it would be worth it? Another problem with this would be all the spam comments.

I would also reduce the price from $20 to $5 for a brick and a page/profile.

Another format I was thinking of using instead was instead of having a small brick they would have a big box with an image and a site description and they would be listed vertically and like a bid directory the more the advertisers pay the higher they would be up on the list, I am assuming a site description title and keywords would be a better backlink than one that was just an image?

Or I could leave it as it is?
Or I could just leave it abandoned?

To be honest I think you are going to have trouble making this work. Cool ideas like this only work once, and this one has been done once successfully and while the various clones of it have failed.

Yeh i do agree with melogknaj
The million dollar homepage was great but i doesn't really work again thats why i have put a new spin on the idea which i think in theory will always be good

Theres no real PR to be gained as the amount of outgoing links on each page is just to high

I plan on only having a max of 20 on each page once i have it all re coded

Sorry, but this has been done many times and years ago now. Plus, there isn't much value for the link at present, no PR etc. Try and create an edge to it or spend loads of time promoting it.

I was planning on promoting it a lot and increasing the PR. I dont know what edge I can give it though.

I dunno. These kinds of sites that are clones on million dollar homepage generally don't work.

I have nothing with you at all. But I'm not gonna pay 100 punds to a site where the About Us page is not working, is not even set on your server... also.. it's an old idea... it won;t make you rich and you will drop the project soon because of that frustration.

    Just think about!
