Thats pretty good, i may buy a page. However, does it not break googles guidelines? Renting pages on someone elses site??
Hello ohmer, On purpose I made the Adsense small using horizontal link groups instead of the larger Adsense for Content rectangle. The reason for this is because I have other types of revenue producing items on each page that have the potential to earn more than Adsense. For example, paid sales leads and referrals to specific affiliate programs. My big push in the short term is http://www.milliondollarwiki.com/Trombones because I really want to sell some domain names I own that are related to trombones. To help move things along I have place several classified ads on different music forums, I'm using Yahoo Search Marketing for sponsored searches, and I am forwarding other domains I own to the wiki using a 301 permanent redirect. Somehow I will generate enough attention to get these domains sold.
Most regular people will only visit it when it's covered in local media or maybe online media (social / traditional). The thing is, when they do visit, they're only going to visit the 'featured pages' and then probably leave. Traffic to the site should eventually slow as blog posts and news stories about it are buried deeper and deeper into site structures.
MDW is a buzz and die site. My site runs on the same initial idea, but supports long term traffic (And is a lot cheaper, with more benefits!). I wish MDW the best of luck, but I don't know how long it will last when over 50% of the pages are getting zero return on their investment. Only time will tell.
well just bought a page! Milliondollarwiki.com/Resorts seems to be making quite a buzz on the net, seems to sell on the net, you have to come up with unconventional ideas. if anyone wants to buy you can use the coupon code to get 5$ off! (shameless) affiliate code => 'msolution' Regards, M.
Not sure how many have seen the news lately, but the entire MDW site is for sale at SitePoint. Graham's blog said he might not sell it but he needs the money for a new project he started. Interesting to see where this goes.
Yeah I saw that. I remember getting my MDW page when they talked about the upcoming news coverage and whatnot, but instead of that, the site's popularity waned and it's now for sale... :/
Looking at the bright side of things (for Graham, anyway) he cashed in 100k$. That's a nice profit, i would say
