Has anyone purchased the Million Dollar Licensing course by Bob Serling? Bob is an old-school marketer and copywriter who has been around a long time. His course is about $1400, so it's not cheap. I'd be interested in learning if people who purchased it feel like they got their money's worth.
I love these "million dollar" things. On an average US income it'd take over 20 years to get a million dollars. So I imagine few people got a million dollars. I know you aren't supposed to take it too literally, but at the same time while its expensive compared to a 14 year olds e-book, if it made a lot of money then the course would be more expensive.
I've heard about it before. It sounds interesting but tricky to pull off. I think you have to set up a company that introudces companies to each other so they can make the deals together and you get paid as the middleman.
Having some sort of business to work under would be helpful to give you credibility. But, it's not difficult to do if someone is motivated enough and wants to start pursuing the strategies. I'm curious how people have done using his strategies (other than the testimonials Bob's mentioned himself). The joint tollgate method he talks about is only one of the methods he teaches. I know there are several other. I'm not sure how many there are. I find it strange that he refers to these as Licensing strategies. They don't seem to me like actual licensing, but more like marketing methods, or blueprints.
I know Bob has given seminars and oral courses before. I don't know what those cost. But the Million Dollar Licensing program is not an oral course. It's a kit containing a bunch of CDs, DVDs, a manual, documents and forms, and digital files.
Well I don't really have any experience in this actual program, but I can see people are saying they wouldn't pay $1400 for a course if it was oral. Over the past 3 months I have been enrolled in a Stompernet Course called SMARTS I bought into it for about $1400 US and it is GREAT it's pretty much all videos explaining different strategies to get traffic. My point is, some programs are well worth the cost, but I think before you buy into this program (if you are thinking about it) you should definitely do some research and find some reviews from others who have invested in the program.
That's great you've gotten value out of the SMARTS course. I am familiar with it as well as StomperNet. With something that's continuously evolving such as social networking/web 2.0 I can see how it would be a good guide for those who want to focus on it. I agree with you about cost. There are a lot of people who immediately dismiss anything that costs over $50 as not worth it or a scam. The important thing to me is to get value out of it and use ideas I learn to better my business. If I can't, then it's not worth the cost. Exactly, that's the purpose of my post, to get feedback from people who have purchased the course to see what they think of it.
I would say forums are better resource for learning marketing. Nothing better then first hand experience.
Forums can be a great resource, but I don't think it's the only resource. The best knowledge is by learning from those who have been successful. This can be gained by reading blogs, buying (and reading) books, or even courses.
Wow!!! 1,400 hundred dollars for info everyone is giving away for free. Make a website, place ads, market the website......sounds like recycled info.
$1400 is a hefty price tag, i would be weary, some people may recommend it just for the affiliate comission but i generally steeer clear away form products above $300, they're usually jus hyped up junk usually not an eBook, maybe some Dvd's or cd's but its still not worth it whene you can get this info for free if you subscribe to a few GOOD newsletters and stay active on GOOD forums such as this
Well, this course doesn't have anything to do with building websites, SEO, social media, or placing ads. It got my interest because it's unique in what it covers. For those who are primarily interested in the above subjects, they would most likely have little interest in the course.
