Everyone has that potential for creating a million dollar idea. You may not know of it, but you have the ability to create the next Facebook! Everyone is made different, a unique thinking ability to create a project that will benefit millions. I am curious to know how many people on DP actually have a good idea but was always discouraged because you don't have the funds to start it up. Most people will actually never expand on their ideas because of financial reasons. A lot of good ideas go unheard because of this and it is sad. Investors are getting harder and harder to find and people give up after a while. I want to know your opinions on the subject matter. Do you have a million dollar idea? What's stopping you from pursuing your business venture? Is it lack of connections and resources? If not, are you successful and did your million dollar idea come through? Share your success stories and see if we can motivate each other to build these million dollar ideas. P.S. I am curious to how many people go unheard. HINT** Maybe this is your chance to shine.
And for a nominal fee you will set them up and get them started on their "million dollar idea" Gee guess what? If enough of them contact you, then you will have a million dollars! Sounds like a million dollar idea to me.
Ha, no I am actual interested to hear what people say, and if someone is lucky I may have the connections
Well, I encourage you to pursue one of them man. I can't tell you how happy i am to get started on my own project .
Yeah, we all have the ideas, but never really implement them. I would say 99% of people don't since 1% of the world is considered rich
in all honesty, most ideas for companies can actually be million dollar idea. Its more a matter of more people seeing it that way and that mainly comes from calculating things thoroughly and through the scope of the business vision. Analyzing the market of your industry is one way to better expand your vision. For instance, i'm involved in 2 startups. In the startup i cofounded, our industry is small and unconventional. Our company has been overlooked because Its the niche sport of rollerblading. an extreme sport similar to skateboarding. Not many seem to know about it or its history, nor do they seem to understand the potential. Yet the potential for sales could be just as high as any other extreme sport, which is why bmx and skateboarding have millionaire pro riders. Our sport just needs the industry revamped, someone to change the way things work which is what we are doing. The total buying market for the past few years is only about 30,000 active participants. So typically companies only aim to sell to 5-10k of those as their perceived market share. With rollerblading, however; skates are expensive ranging from 200-350usd. This means when signature skates release with 10k pairs, the sales reach up to 3.5Million. multiply this by the number of models released in a year and easily you can see that the industry that is so small is still a multi million dollar industry. In the grand scheme of things, I believe company visions should be to achieve new heights. So what our company does is promote the sport around the world to increase the total market. We do this several ways such as by using our sports social network w/ translation tools and while doing so we begin to have limited edition products endorsed by celebrities within the sport. This builds a following for product releases ahead of time. In the business planning and actual business plan, i detail everything. I scaled down the numbers for minimum needed amounts for a sustainable business because we've been bootstrapping the past 7-8 months. So for a 3 year plan we'd need around 300k. But if we were to scale operation upward as we would like to, the cost or funds needed would easily reach 1-2Million just the same as most Tech/Internet startups actually raise. This isn't just a million dollar idea but something we've actually been working on for some time now. I do have other "ideas" which havent been acted on just yet, such as an adult porn site idea. Im actually connected to people within that industry because i worked in it myself. The potential profits are much higher than my current startup and ive done the business planning for this as well. Its just a matter of me acting on this and making it happen. Ive just put it off for a bit since I'd like to get everything running smoothly with my current startup company.
Adamis, Makes a lot of good points.. rollerblading is a niche sport and tough market due to the "cool" factor.. Like the guy who made the milliondollarhomepage.. you have to give it time to build and be persistant... he didn't sell out till TV picked him up.. but he did it.. Read the story of pinterest... started off as a little different site then what it is now, they listened to feedback from early users and then blew up... We have to be willing to bend our Dream\Vision a little to fit the masses.
