I think it will go full, eventually, at least for altruistic reasons. Just because he came up with a great new idea, set it in place, did some good marketingt/public relations, and is putting himself through college with it, some companies that could care less will buy a $100 block. I just hope the site and the money don't become a distraction. This kid has a great mind, educating it would make him a powerhouse.
This one comes closest to what I had in mind for a hurricane help site. I do like the look of it. Check out the 'John 3:16' in the stadium. http://www.commercialtown.com/
Hi, I made a thread before asking some questions, but there is still a lot of confusion in my head and something I would just like to talk about generally. Like for example, what do you think he could have done that could make his pixels worth more?? and why are the last pixels worth so much?? It's just 10 small blocks...
and why hasn't Google gotten rid of that high PR of his due to all those outbound links? I hate reading all of those posts....especially since I didn't hear about this til yesterday!
Ha ha, he filled it! I got my pixels!!! See the big heart on the left hand side, directly above that is a fish on a green background, and it says, "how to poo in the woods" lol their my pixels. The traffic from it has been awesome, definately value for money!
1. No, if you mean is PageRank based on outgoing as well as incoming links. PageRank is based on incoming links only. 2. If you mean do outgoing links affect Google ranking for a page, again probably no - there is no evidence that this is true. 3. If you are referring to the myth about "PR leak" or "PR bleed", it is just that - a myth. Your page does not lose PR because of outgoing links.
What this from Google...Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web, as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links. http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html
I think it was not any allruing idea at all but as it got focus of press then the real game started fot advertisers to put their ad on this website. But originally this idea is crap to me.Now last 1000 pixels are going to be of more than $150,000 with 5 days left. I hope it could be another million
When i made my mind then it was very costly to bid on ebay and compete with big fish. have you bought ?
Yeah I bought. Mainly as it is a bit of internet history, and I knew if I didn't buy I'd regret it when they sold out.
