Hey, many of you have hear of: http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/ Was Alex (the owner) the first one to create a site like that? What made it more successful than other pixel sites? Read my blog for my report on it
Look at the similar threads at the bottom of the page It was the most successful as it was the first and marketed well.
even if it's a gimic with little return the the advertiser, being the first to get the right marketing buzz may lead to success, as seen in this instance.
I did, but what I was looking for is the answer to this question: are links on these type of web pages followed by Google??
That's the first time you've asked that question, but to answer it, Google will follow them as it does other links of the same type, but according to Matt Cutts (of Google) they will not pass PageRank and even if they did there are so many links on the page it would be pretty meaningless.
I think the site looks pretty ugly and the links are of very little long term value - but big CONGRATS! to Alex. There's nothing wrong with a gimic. It's clever.
Marketing was the key for the site I guess We all can learn alot from the way that site has progressed from a idea to million dollars. And shaws should merge all the million dollar threads by you into one
cp: Yes from my experiences, I do believe G will follow and index iframes. Or at least it appears that they have on my sites...
