I am doubling the award money to $40. The design work is easy, and I would like to get this moving again.

Ok everyone, this is not my normal contest. I am designing the military ribbon section of milpages.com and I am looking for someone that can do military ribbons in a great graphic way. The look should be close to real, with a nice presentation (i.e.) drop shadow or backdrop. For this contest we will start with Air Force ribbons. Here is a reference incomplete AF Ribbons list, but please do not copy. I am asking for 2 ribbons as a submission. You pick any 2. The winner that is selected will get $40 to do all 84 ribbons because they don't take long to do. So the contest is to find the best style and presentation.

Each ribbon should be delivered in a .psd or .ai file. If .psd they should be at least 300dpi and 600 x 600 px. I have the most current list of ribbons. The winner will be commissioned to do all the branches of the military at $20-40 per set depending on amount of ribbons in each set.

Paypal only. All submissions in this thread, no PM's. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

sgdesigns, this is awesome. The only thing I would ask is don't use rounded corners. We want to make sure that they are perfectly rectangular.

ok to be honest I think this is very solid, I will give it just a bit longer if anyone else wants to chime in but I have several contests to list today and I would like to get this started. So if no other submissions in the next hour or so I will go with yours.

Well this is a first. I am reopening the contest for military ribbons. Unfortunately sgdesigns couldn't take on the project according to the terms so I am reopening it for other designers again. Same description and everything.

Note: Please do not accept the win and ask me to pay you more, I am very clear in my description and this is extremely insulting and time wasting. If you have doubts that you might not be able to create the graphics on the terms of the contest please don't enter. I am an extremely fair guy and always select a winner, but I will not accept changing the deal AFTER I select and close my contest. You will never receive another contest win or work in the future.

So designers, I wish you the best of luck and I am extremely excited to see what is presented. Another tidbit, this is only project one. The next 5 projects are exactly the same, but they pay a bit more, so the winner is actually getting some decent work! We are doing all the ribbons ever created!

Trance, not bad. I am hoping to get a bit more realistic though. I think sgdesigns still had the more dead-on look, but I have my mind open.

tjb, not bad. The lines are a bit too dark and don't really look like fine fabric. Can you fix your pattern to be just a bit more realistic?

tjb, a lot better! the only suggestion I would have left at this point is add light vertical lines as well to give it the weave of fabric look.
