Hi! I bought a site that uses QuikCMS whick is a bullshit, I think. I am considering to migrate or rebuild the site with Drupal. Does anybody has experience with this movement? How it will affect SE ranking? How can I move the content? Thanks
How much content has to be moved? Too much to recreate manually in Drupal? You can 301 redirect all the old URL's to your new drupal URL's to minimise any search engine ranking loss.
you can rebuild the site by keeping all your old links which you had in the site then you can migrate to Drupal. you might loose some back links.it might or might not affect the Se ranking.
Thanks! After I clear up all mess there will be appr. 100 pages, 10GB of downloadable content and one DL Guard to migrate. How can 301 redirect if I would like to use the same URL's? (The ide is that we develop the new site in an other server and change the nameservers if ready.)
Yes i can do same url as you want, no problem. As drupal is also seo friendly for specially apache web server.
