Migration from Platypus?

Looks as if my folks are pretty interested in making the move.

It would be nice to outsource the change-over to someone who has done previous migrations from Platypus :)

Want to contact me directly? The big boss asked me see if you guys would be willing to handle our migration from Platypus to Optigold (say 220 clients).

We are moving from a small colocation facility to a huge one and expect to greatly increase our hosted services business. Better to make the change now than later, huh?

It's possible for us to do it as a data conversion. But to be honest it's probably not really cost efficient to do so (data conversion runs a flat rate of $1,000). It probably would be cheaper just to pay a data entry person to enter them by hand if you only have around 200 customers.

Guess I was thinking of historical data, too.

Should I give y'all a phone call or what? If you can pull what we need out of Platypus, we will be wanting to talk :)

There isn't a whole lot to talk about regarding it to be honest. Platypus conversions have been done in the past and all data conversions run a flat rate of $1,000, so... :)

    Okey doke -

    I'll pass it along. :D

BTW, the reason we won't have data entry folks available is that we have a home-grown app that also holds hosted services clients - the Platypus data is from a company we bought.

Since all us engineer-types are busy making money, we don't want to convert data for in-house people and figure they can just type it all in again ;)

The good news for you is that we'll be buying licenses and support for those clients, too. All we for-profit businesses gotta make that profit sometime, huh? :)
