Migrating to vb4 from 3.8

    Hi!

I have two big forums that we are thinking of updating to vb4. I would like to hear from people who have done this what can we expect? Many bugs? Plugins dropping out? Should I wait for more stable versions?

Also in terms of developer time for the migration...is this a two week full time job? More, less?

    Thank you in advance!

Thanks Shawn! I'll definitely bookmark these tips. You know I am not a big techie so I don't understand all the complicated stuff (except doing stuff on the admin cp). In your opinion, if I need to hire a short-term developer to do the migration, how much time should I allow and what are going rates for someone professional?

Though the initial VB4 release went bad and had a lot of bugs, I think it has gotten better with the new version releases. I suggest moving to VB4 if you're ready and have a general feeling of how the software works.
