My golf blog http://www.hookedongolfblog.com has a PR of 5, 100,000 hits per month and shows up nowhere on google's radar. I pay for a sponsor link in google's search. I had this blog on blogger and moved it in the middle of April. Might I be sandboxed? I'm #5 on yahoo, #4 and 5 on MSN and #4 & 6 on iwon.
I just found a new beta at google: blog search. I seem to be #3 there for golf blogs. I wonder if that has anything to do with it...
Started it originally in blogger in about December 2004. Ran it there until April 2005 where I switched to my own URL. Yes, why nowhere in the regular search?
That URL is around 6-7 months old. Between 6 mo and a year is when you get "let out" of the sandbox no?
It varies. One of my sites which is now a year old, was not let out of the sandbox till it was about 10 months old. This article might give you some good insight. http://www.seomoz.org/articles/google-sandbox-analysis.php
Hmm. Perhaps I have another month or two before I get let out. That article was VERY informative. Thank you.
Google tends to let URLs out of the sandbox when they do big updates. I believe there is a big update due soon.
