Mid day drop in earnings

This morning, I had roughly $2.70 for the day. This evening, the total is $0.91. Is it common for this sort of thing to happen? Any idea what causes it?

yea it happens when others click ads more than once it will adjust during the day.

 

I guess google find out an invalid clicks, therefore they reverse the entry. Sometimes, invalid clicks does not caused by our own click.

Dips are normal, for last few days ive had next to nothing, it goes like that from time to time.

 

it's like a roller coaster, sometimes u get lucky sometimes not... we webmasters can only decrease variables so that less depends on luck.

I'm calm. I think most of you have misunderstood the question. bestserviceforyou and mdamin76 seem to understand.

I know that earning fluctuate day to day. There are a fair number of days that I make nothing. My question was why would I log in to adsense, at 8am, and see my earnings at $2.70, then log in 4 or 5 hours later, and see the my earnings are only $0.91? I think the answer is that google apparently detected multiple clicks from a visitor and reversed some of the money. That's the answer I was after. It's not fun having your earnings whacked like that, but apparently it's part of the service.
