Do you support it? I think something needs to be done to add competition to the SE world. Does Microsoft have the ability to take on google?
Personally I could care less if Microsoft takes over Yahoo or not. As long as my website shows up in a search engine, I'll be happy Someone will eventually topple Google...it might not necessarily be MS, but someone will.
I hope Microsoft and yahoo can come to an agreement, I think they are capable of giving google some real competition.
If they could just stop playing around and get the deal done, there starting to confuse alot of share holders lol
We have to wait and watch how far the combined might of MS-Yahoo can compete with the present leader in the search engine technology.
I think Google is dominating 50%-60% of search engine tech now MS-Yahoo will prob = Google Google-Yahoo = 90-95% of search engines tech
I personally support this merging.Google is doing monopoly in online as Microsoft is doing in OS.Monopoly is not good.If Microsoft and yahoo merge then it will surely give a good boost in online business.Just think about the situation when there is no one to rule the internet without Google,that time Google can take any decision and those decisions may cause problems for webmasters,but webmaster won't have any other place to go.
Its a well discussed topic here in DP. IMPO, Google is way bigger that the joint venture of MS and Yahoo.
I think that someone needs to stand up to google. They practically run the internet now and Yahoo has been going downhill for years.
