the original post said XP production. It didn't say they were stopping support at the same time. That may be a concern then.
Who really cares if they stop making it... Just go download a copy, there will never be no windows XP in the pirated world. I can still get win95 online ... And vista is good for looks only.. And possibly for businesses, but for high intensive applications, and games you need DOUBLE the ram just to run what you can on windows xp. Tyler
I will still use Windows XP without updates... Or I will have to migrate to Vista (I do not want that). And I am not familiar with Linux a lot, so I won't choose them
The only thing I find useful about linux is the ability to dual boot, and backup your files on a different partition of your hard drive. Other than that, linux is too messy for me.
Windows XP, is very stable anyway. But also, Vista is basically a test OS, the next OS, is basically what XP was. The big change - the ultimate windows OS.
Well I wait many years before switching from Win98 to WinXP so it will be the same for Vista: I'm waiting that PC hardware are strong enough before going to Vista. I'm working in a fortune 500 company they only switched from WinNT ot WinXP PRO lst year so as for my job It will take more ten years before I see Vista professionaly
They will not stop updates but you wont get any more SP's or big updates, mostly security updates etc
