    They aren't promoting it. Period. That is what unofficially released would imply. It hasn't been publicly announced.

    It was created by Microsoft India? I wonder if that means it's AIMing for a more international audience than Facebook and Myspace do. Or it's being made there because of the cheap labor ;)

    Yes, it was a great place to launch malicious email attacks from. It took the a full year to 'fix' the live social networking (or spaces or wtf)- that was a spammers paradise, and then they dump it. If they were smart, they would quit while they're ahead.
