I got a credit from Microsoft and I do a lot of web advertising, never on Microsoft's sites, but I figured why not try it. I have a new site to advertise http://guidetosellingabusiness.com So off I go. I get half way through the process and it stalls. I try again. It stalls in the same place. I try a different browser. I gave up and go away for a few hours to let them fix it. I come back and try again - still not working, so I call the toll free number. First, the guy tells me that I need to clear my cookies, but that doesn't work. He puts me on hold. Comes back and says that it doesn't work about half of the time if you're using a Mac. they have no idea why. He suggests that I use virtual PC (A PC emulator for the mac). Now, in 5 years of using a Mac I have never had a problem like this. One of the great beauties of the web is that it's OS independent. Still I figured eventually I'd use my kids PC to post an ad. Here's where it gets funny. They just sent me a satisfaction survey for the support call. I answered the first question, rating the support poor. I answered the second question, saying that the reason I rated it poor is because "it doesn't work from a mac, we don't know why" is not a good answer and that "use virtual PC is not a good workaround" and I hit the next page button. Here's a screenshot of what I got. (Either they didn't like the answer or the survey also doesn't work from a mac):
LOL, wow that's funny, maybe these types of problems are why Bill is now at #3 on the world's richest list.
