Microsoft-Yahoo merger strength or weakness?

Yahoo is an American public corporation and global Internet services company, a Microsoft-Yahoo merger may give the companies a better shot at competing with Google but it's still: the blind leading the blind.

It will certainly help Microsoft and the industry in general.

 

Good point here. Google needs a real competitor.

 

I hope it will create some more competition, especially to adsense, since there isn't a real alternative to it at the moment...at least for most publishers.

You never know Microsoft never did well with most sites they bought.

 

It will definately be a strength! It will weaken Google esp in advertising. Anyone wanna bet?

If they merge, I know there will be a surge of sign ups in Yahoo's advertising services

 

yes i agree ther should be an alternative to google but yahoo is not the answer. its a similar scenario in game platform where it is competing head on with sony along side nintendo but buying out nintendo will not get it to no.1 position.

 

YPN is better than adsense ..........

 

Microsoft will give tough competition by this. They get great man power from Yahoo, and other things also if it happens.

 

This merging will be a booming in SE world. Will be a real competitive for google. Any how the result will be good for us

 

Its too early to guess what will happen. Lets wait for some time and see what happens if there is a merge.

 

Bill Gates have been successful at many things but I do not think he can
make yahoo more popular than google.
