Microsoft + Yahoo + Ebay can beat google

instead of endlessly throwing money into live search and panama and still be labelled number 2 or 3 is nonsense.

Microsoft, yahoo, ebay should partner and take the gas out of google.

ebay and yahoo already has a lot and all they have to do is provide a very good platform for all the merchandise the user wants. Today users go to google and search for them. All google does is place 2 advrts at the toip and 6-8 advrts to the right and 8-10 search results. Most of the users just clicks the advrts (making money for google) and get what they want.
Instead and yahoo, ebay, microsoft focus on their technology and provide a similar but better direct access to all what users wants to buy, then i believe google will take a beating.

    Best regards.

    Why?
What do you think is the industry of yahoo and or ebay?
Yahoo also sells merchandise on top of being search engine. Ebay is just a leader in auctions. I don't see, how they all three can't merge and effectively cater to the needs of user base.
I know, there are lotz of rendunancies in all three companies, but 3 can't survive independently.

eBay is trying to sell new and used goods at lower prices by auctioning.
Yahoo sells new goods and tries to bring the prices down by showcausing more and more sellers making them compete among each other for more buyers.
eBay has skype and yahoo, msn has messenger services

Microsoft got the money and yahoo.ebay got the user base. All these three can merge and entice their existing user base by making them get what they want on their web properties.

By making yahoo, ebay, msn into one internet subsidiary and making that subsidary fight google, microsoft will focus on its office suite.

google has miserably failed in almost every thing except search engine and online videos.

    I see a perfect fit.

True, but eBay sure drags along a lot of traffic and would probably be beneficial to Yahoo! or Microsoft if they bought it.

Yahoo and Ebay are barely in the same sector.
What the three have in common that they are web based.

They may have some impact on Google, but I doubt they'll overtake Google, like you said.

I don't see why anyone would want to see a half a trillion dollar company be in charge instead anyway.

It should be a challenege. If they want challenge the search giant they should go after unit by unit. Targeting individually from AdSense to frooogle and on....
