Your Hardware System Configuration merely depends upon the speeds of both Windows! Dont use Windows 7 on those systems which have a tag labeling Designed for Windows XP! If you install Windows 7 you may need to upgrade it
Hi dear Windows is without a doubt the most popular operating system out there today. With the release of Windows 7 just around the corner I thought why not compare all three operating systems to each other? I think XP is faster then windows 7.
Hi, If you ever have a chance to use at least Win 7 Pro, you should be aware that there are Win XP mode inside too. As i experience, Win XP is much more faster than win 7 even if plug in with the latest hardware configuration, but Win 7 itself is also faster enough compare to its previous version plus of it advantage of 64bit OS. Microsoft can see that Win XP product still hold the heart of most people and maybe that's why they took out Win XP support and put it together as a plug-in OS inside Windows 7 as Win XP mode so that people can still experience and have their 32bit environment run smoothly in 64bit environment. Well, you should have at least Win 7 pro to experience this Win XP mode inside.
I have a new laptop with Windows 7, that has the same configuration as my Vista laptop, I the Windows 7 laptop feels much faster. However, I believe 7 stills requires more resources than XP, so it's probably slower, but it sure looks alot better.
Windows Xp is running faster for me on my comp. Although my brother has a new laptop and Win 7 is running really fast there. I think it came installed with Win 7.
I run XP on my netbook and Windows 7 on my main PC. I think that Windows 7 flies on the PC - you need a lot of memory for it, and the 64 bit version does seem to run better than the 32bit version, but it is worth it in my opinion.
Been using Windows 7 since the beta a year ago, would say that it is fast on my laptop, feels allot faster then Windows Vista. But if its faster then XP wouldn't say so, 7 has more features!
Well if you take in consideration only the speed, on older hardware XP is definetely faster than W7, but if you have a decent computer that was bought at least 1 year ago W7 will be the choice for it. Also lots of new features from W7 will make the difference. Also don't forget that Microsoft will stop to provide support for windows XP in April 2014.....so updating will be a must , and Vista is not a choice.
So far, no one has given a reason why a "new configuration" would run Windows 7 faster. Just guesses which tells me no one here knows.
