    If they can get it to work it could be a big dinger to the way Googles new Chrome works. That would be pretty damn cool!

    Yeah.. it is much easier than we can ever imagine. Who knows, Chrome might overtake Firefox soon.

    Great news! There was an article about the fellow in charge of Live. I've been pretty impressed with some of what he's done. Maybe there is some life in Microsoft.

    What's interesting is, most web developers and their companies have given up on OpenID and moved on. MS appears too late to be of any service.

    Less than two hours after I posted that, Google made an announcement of their OpenID support and there was a flurry of articles and blogs around the 'net about it, making me look foolish but what I said is still partly true. Most have given up on OpenID and the Microsoft/Google/Yahoo new support are all inconsistent with the standard and don't interoperate with each other as they are supposed to. One article said OpenID is a splintered mess and all this is stabbing it in the back.

    OpenID still does have a use and can be salvaged. I expect to see a comeback.
