    Its actually pre-beta (Developers Preview)

Beta is expected to be available around march 2012.
Final version should be out around june 2012.

Has anyone tried the beta? If so, what do you think of it? It took me a long time to give up Windows XP. I have grown fond of Windows 7 now.

windows 8 seems to be awesome.

Boot-up time is just 10-15 seconds.
New interface, fast, smooth, lots of new features, aps store.

Glad to hear positive reviews. Did they stay with the Windows 7 layout and GUI?

Nope, completely new. Though if you're a power user the old desktop layout is still available.

I am not sure when they are launching Windows 8, but I am really looking forward to it! I have windows Vista now, and I feel that it is outdated.

I am ready to make the jump to Windows 8 with the rest of you. I love the prospect of a quick boot. Did someone say less than 30 secs.? Fast and smooth sounds like a product we would all love to use.

How often do you need a quick boot every day in order to spend hundreds of dollars on this?

I have tested Windows 8 Developer Preview.
It's far better than Windows7. Boot time is so fast.
File Transfer also very fast. I'm waiting for the Beta release and final product release.

There it is again! Windows users are so enamored by pretty blinking lights. It's the only reason they own a computer.
