Found this just now and thought i'd share. Would you want Microsoft spying on you, even if you got that software for free? I sure wouldn't (they'd find out my secrets... lol)
oh, so in this case at least you know they'd be spying on you...unlike now where they do anyway and you just aren't aware of it. here's me tonight: just to run Update since there are 6 new security releases today. hey, the only problem is that I've had to DL and install this bull crap like 3 times already since I've had this LT. Hey maybe they want to re-validate my copy of windows again? /rant
hey free software is free software, just joking I would hate to know my every move was being recorded
Think there are very few corporations that wouldnt want to spy on you if they could get away with it. Look at store loyality/ reward cards and the masses of data they collect on you there
and here's the kicker... A) I have auto update turned on but it sure as he!! didn't notify me of the updates! B) I tried the express update and it just failed, didn't tell me why...well it gave me the stupid error code or whatever which is worthless C) it wasn't until I did "custom" update option did it show I needed to DL a worthless U/D to be able to install the U/D's!!
Mr. Gates is keeping a tight pirate eye in on all you "clones" looking to workaround his validation tool. Be careful of the DMA
all my copies are official...but they still make me feel like a cheap Tijuana whore every time I have to jump through their hoops!!
it seems fair to me. They are telling you what they gonna do and are essentially paying you (the customer). It would bother me if they were collecting data from my computer without me knowing though
Well, I have two copies of Windows on the same HDD. One is XP, and one is Vista. i'll install this on XP, and go on with life.
Well, I,ll say google is more big spy http://imseo.org/2008/03/search-industry/google/google-knows-too-much-about-usbeware/ hehe
we all know that think about what it takes for adsense. one account too all your sites, ip logging, and so on
