i think that most of msn's top results are full of spam and the traffic volume from msn is to low to bother about it.
Honestly, I'm not sure why you would even bother to compare the two. Possibly the only benefit that you may get from Microsoft is a more targeted visitor, but you'll have to break your back to get them. I'd focus on optimizing my site for Google first and then, worry about Microsoft as they probably won't make much of a difference for you anyway.
If you go to live.com you automatically are redirected to Bing. Curious, with a very expensive url like live.com why did they opt to go to Bing? And MSN has a big big brand. If I was accumulating a billion dollars a month of cash what would I do to compete with google? I would probably try to imitate google as much as possible with more eye-candy. And name my URL wiz.com Bing seems to be treating my web site very kindly, and the results seem to be a lot closer to Google than MSN was. However, thankfully, Google is still sending me 95% of my traffic. wiz
So you are saying Google is sending 95% of your traffic and Bing is also sending you 95% of your traffic. Yeah. That makes a lot of sense. Hate to tell you guys but I'm convinced Bing isn't doing anything different along these lines than what Live did and you aren't getting any more traffic from Bing either.
I have to admit that Bing is looking good at the moment but its still too early to tell if they will be a Google-killer.
I'm ranked number 1 in bing for a pretty good keyword, "Affordable web hosting", Just like live haven't received any traffic from it.
Yeah same here. I first discovered Google when i was in Secondary School. Then there I found out that Google gives me good results in searching. I was using Yahoo search but not with the Microsoft's search engine and then later I switch to Google.
